To any step file makers out there -
The qualifier(s) for this tournament will be (a) edit(s). Im thinking of something like a two song qualifier... Im also thinking of making the edits open submitted edits by anyone who can do so. If your edit is chosen there might be some kind of prize associated or something.
Anyways. To enter, please create an edit file for the song you wish and find a way to host it online. Place a link for your file here in this thread. Only one entry per person for now please. Anyone is allowed to submit a step file. File should be of nine to ten bars of difficulty. Do not link to mp3s as nobody here owns them. Just link us to the actual steps and name the file according to the song (give it a name too that distinguishes it from other edits).
The edits used for the qualifier will be allowed as song choices in the actual tourny most likely. Runner up edits (ones that could've been used as well but where just edged out) will also be allowed as selectable songs in tourny. A poll in forum here will be used as a voting station to determine winners.
I know alot of you can write good files.

Rules posted!
Any comments or questions should be directed to us here in this thread.
I need to know what style of IIDX you guys would like for a tourny.
Peoples who submit good stepfiles may recieve prizes too. I thought about giving any pad type of prize to the writter of the best step file.

Actually it does read .sm files. I saw an ITG machine with DDR songs on it. They had to go through the operators menu though.

To everyone getting beatmania, please buy a copy of it. That way, we ensure the fanbase in the US and we get more home versions/possible arcade version.

If I didn't suck at ITG/IIDX I might have entered or something. But I suck at making stepfiles also. I might just go and look around and stuff though. The whole excitement of a tournament seems fun, seeing how I've never been to one.

we are making it clear that sandbagging wont be tolerated. Players that sand bagged will be either moved to where they should be or not allowed to compete

Thats left open cuz i think it should be just the best edit almost...
But, if you want my opinion, the edit that would be best would be between 8 and 10 (not an easy 8 but a witch doc . Tribal Style Expert as maybe a top end for stamina.
I probably honestly will make a new topic once i got a full like 10 edits and ill compile em so they are easy to download. We can all do a kinda review of edits there or maybe a vote.

A guy named Austin is gonna come for IIDX and own a bit. He has passed alot of 8s.
>=[
Im gonna go ahead and say for now that the IIDX tourny will be on 10th Style. There will be an unlock system for difficulties
Something like
Round 1 - L7 and 7k 6 Star and Under
Round 2 - L7 and 7k 7 Star and Under
Round 3 - All L7 and 7k
Round 4 - All L7 and 7k and all but flashing 7 anothers
Round 5 - All songs.
I based this off of an idea that a 7K 7 star is the equiv of a DDR 9 footer. Some KC players might play IIDX as well.
Red Octane is going to be offering a pad as the prize they provide. I think the winner of the edit writting thing will get it.
